Written in 1960, the Medtronic Mission drives everything that is done by the 90,000+ employees in Medtronic. Six powerful words from the Mission drives the company forward – to “alleviate pain, restore health, extend life”. For more than 60 years, this Mission has guided and reminded employees that their efforts, large and small, transform the lives of millions of people each year. Fast forward 60 years, technology has rapidly advanced, and Medtronic has grown from producing pacemakers, to treating more than 70 medical conditions. Yet, the Medtronic Mission remains unchanged and has become even more relevant to all of Medtronic’s employees amidst the fast-evolving environment. Through this immersion, you will be able to learn more about how Medtronic engineers an employee experience that helps employees connect with the company’s purpose. You will hear from Medtronic leaders about the Medtronic Mission and the Medtronic Mindset, and how they shape and impact the business strategy by cultivating a strong workplace culture. You will also experience a tour of Medtronic’s latest innovation – the Medtronic Customer Experience Centre – and see for yourself how Medtronic creates experiences that put people first, to provide realistic training for our customers that can lead to better patient outcomes.

Work is no longer where you go, but what you do. While the traditional workplace used to be inside the four walls of the corporate office, it is now an ecosystem of employees working from anywhere. Technology will remain a bridge in this new world. What will be equally important is embedding trust and inclusivity in the company culture and giving employees greater ownership and choice on how they want to work in the physical office, at home and anywhere in between.
A big part of cultivating this environment of trust and inclusivity stems from Cisco’s Conscious Culture, an environment where employees are aware of the environment that they are part of, feel accountable, empowered, and actively contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture, where everyone feels safe and can thrive. We share more about how we bring this to life by using technology as an enabler, cultivating people-centric talent policies and embedding flexibility, listening and trust to enable all employees to stay engaged regardless of where and how they choose to work. During this immersion experience you will:
