2026 Rankings

Methodology

For more than 30 years, Great Place To Work® has helped organizations around the world measure and improve workplace culture through confidential employee feedback and research-backed methodology.

Using our proprietary Trust Index™ Survey, employees evaluate their workplace by responding to 60 statements on a five-point scale and answering two open-ended questions. The survey measures the key drivers of a great workplace, including trust in leadership, fairness, respect, pride, camaraderie, wellbeing, and opportunities for growth.

Rankings are based primarily on employee feedback, which we analyze to determine how consistently positive the workplace experience is across the organization. We also assess the quality and consistency of employee experiences across different demographic groups and roles.

Organizations with 100 or more employees also complete the Culture Audit™, providing insight into their people practices and workplace strategy through six essay questions. While these responses provide valuable context, only employee survey data can earn an organization a place on the Best Workplaces™ list.

All surveys must meet strict distribution and participation requirements to ensure they accurately represent the organization’s workforce. Over the past year, Great Place To Work® surveyed more than 179,000 employees across Indonesia, with this year’s Best Workplaces™ in Indonesia 2026 representing the experiences of more than 74,000 employees.
