Five companies certified in Indonesia made the 2026 regional list, in a country of 284 million people whose digital economy is projected to pass US$130 billion.
Indonesia is Southeast Asia’s largest digital market by every meaningful measure: 284 million people, e-commerce on track to break US$100 billion in annual value by the end of 2026, and a digital economy projected to exceed US$130 billion, according to the US International Trade Administration and Digital in Asia. Five companies certified in Indonesia earned places on Southeast Asia’s Best Workplaces™ in Technology 2026.
The market runs deep as well as wide. Internet penetration passed 79 per cent in early 2024, with more than 221 million people online, and the country had produced 15 startups valued above US$1 billion as of 2023, Tokopedia, Gojek and Bukalapak among them, per the US International Trade Administration.
The list draws on a confidential survey given to 219,262 employees across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, making it the largest workplace culture survey in the region.

Artajasa’s presence carries local weight: the company runs interbank payment services connecting Indonesian banks, the kind of infrastructure those digital economy growth figures depend on. Five winners from a market this size also leaves the field wide open. Certified employers remain rare here and this list shows where the bar sits.
“Southeast Asia’s tech sector is booming! There are so many amazing tech companies! Which makes this honour even more important. We are thrilled to be part of it!” – Luminary

The infrastructure build-out arrives
Indonesia’s data centre market was valued at US$2.81 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach US$6.08 billion by 2031, per Research and Markets. Microsoft opened its first Indonesian data centre in May 2025, an investment expected to contribute around US$2.5 billion to the economy and support 60,000 jobs by 2028, and DAMAC Digital has committed US$2.3 billion to an AI-ready Jakarta facility. ST Telemedia’s Indonesian operation, certified on this list, is part of the same wave.
A market this large, growing this fast, will need far more than five great workplaces. The companies already certified have set the local benchmark, and their staff wrote the scorecard. Westcon-Comstor, certified in Indonesia and five other markets on the list, credits exactly that.
“Being recognised as one of Southeast Asia’s Best Workplaces™ in Technology 2026 is a proud moment for all of us at Westcon-Comstor. This achievement reflects the passion, collaboration, and sense of belonging that our people bring every day, and reinforces our belief that when people feel connected to a shared purpose, they can make a meaningful difference for our partners, vendors, customers and one another.” – Westcon-Comstor
For Indonesian tech employers wondering what it takes to join them next year, the answer starts with a question put to your own people.
